How do I still have this fix?
I line my lids in hope to swish.
Vehement is the ember that sizzles slowly,
Only to comfort the fire in its last few hours.
As I dream of days yet to come I foresee the night
In which we meet to eat the feast we've already eaten.
Time has brought me another you, but I am seen as ageless.
There is no chance to erase the stains on the grain
Because the wood will never lose it's true disposition.
Forever marked, forever true, this is my world when it does not involve you.
Memories may fade as decades pass
But there are some strong enough to ever-last.
This is a hope that feeds thoughts with a relentless appetite
A mind that fathoms the infinities of galaxies.
Will this forever be space that two revolve around but do not cross?
Forever marked, forever true, this is my world when it does not intersect with you.
